Question #19. What kinds of things can I do on my free time when teaching ESL in Japan?
What do you want to do on your free time in your home country? Ski, climb mountains, rock climb, run, swim, bike, knit one, pearl two.
How about martial arts – karate, judo, aikido?
Movies, concerts, the sea, hot, cold and everything in between.
Drink, carouse, party, karoke!
Whatever you can do that is NOT unique to your home country, you can do in Japan.
Oh! and eat. You will never run out of great restaurants and kissatens (coffee shops) to just plain hang out and appreciate the fact that you are living in the land of the Rising Sun.
