Princess Masako Turns 43

The wife of Emperor Akihito’s oldest son, Crown Prince Naruhito turns 43.

The Japanese royal couple has only one child – a daughter who is now 5 years old and in kindergarten.

The biological clock of the commoner turned princess is ticking in high speed. There doesn’t seem to be much chance the couple will have a male child to take the throne.princess-masako.jpg

In that event, the throne will go to the son of Prince Naruhito’s younger brother.

Princess Masako crashed due to the stress of trying to have a boy. Doesn’t God decide the sex of a child and who will have one?

Princess Masako has just recently begun to gradually resume her official duties.

Monarchies….necessary evils in many countries. Figureheads in others. Good or bad. For Japan?
