Population Decline Temporarily Halted

It seems more Japanese are spending time in the sack.

Since 2005, Japan's population has been declining. Some predicted that by 2050, Japan's population could be down to 90 million from its current 127 million.

The figures worried enough people that they decided to go to bed and sleep on it….but they didn't sleep.

In November, there was an increase in births of 7.3%. That added to a mild flu season meant less people died in December = population increase for 2006…Japan hopes.

And, if not…well they will go back to bed and ponder the predicament.in.the.bed.jpg

Divorces also fell for the eighth month in a row… Who wants to think about divorce when you are in bed?

Seriously…it is/will be a problem for Japan if the country cannot maintain its population.

Let's sleep on it.
