North Korea Calls Japanese Officials “Political Imbeciles”

North Korea has agreed to return to the six-party talks with China, Russia, the U.S. South Korea and Japan – it’s first gesture of a relaxation in tension since its proclaimed Oct. 9th nuclear test.

However, the North says Japan can stay home since Japan is "no more than a state of the U.S." and since Japan has a new PM, Japan may need to "mind its own business." Besides "Japanese authorities have proved themselves that they are political imbeciles, incapable of judging trends."

The DPRK likes to throw hostile rhetoric at Japan and the DPRK seems to be in good form.imbecile.jpg

Japan and the Korean have bad blood stemming from Japan’s occupation of the Korean Peninsula during WWII.

In the 1970s and 80s North Korea abducted Japanese citizens but has since "settled the issue" according to the North’s side.

Japan does not agree.

As for me, I feel sorry for the translators at the six-party talks. After all s/he will be the one telling the Japanese what the DPRK side is saying, then relaying back the reply.

I have seen the messenger/translator crushed many times before.

Don’t shoot the messenger is what it says, right?

What do you think?
