Nissan’s Ghosn Interested in Partnership with Ford, Chrysler

Nissan's Ghosn says he is still interested in a partnership with 'somebody who is very big in North America.'

Ford comes to mind….

Nissan and General Motors already tried and failed to forge an alliance.

Chrysler and Daimler AG of Germany merged and separated again.

That leaves Ford.

Ghosn said he made the Nissan-Renault merger work to the benefit of both companies and he thinks he can work his magic again in America.

Nissan almost collapsed, Renault grew in status…a merger of a Japanese andnissan.ghosn.ford.jpg American carmaker could mean bringing the best of two world's together…indeed.

More growth, says Ghosn….Nissan and Renault need a third partner…at a time when confidence in Nissan and Renault in terms of growth and profit is very strong.

Is now that time?
