Nissan Navigation System Offers Safe Driving Tips

Nissan Motor Co. will begin installing a pioneering technology that will warn drivers to slow down in dangerous areas.

The system will trigger warnings, including alarms and messages on the car navigation system's screen as well as offer resistance when pressing down on the accelerator when a car approaches a stop sign or there is a turn off coming up around the corner.

New luxury models will get it first and then other models later on.

Users will be able to download the latest traffic and map information via cell phones and other devices from a server.

Monitors will show an aerial view of the car and let drivers know when there are pedstrians and obstacles in blind spots.

Since Nissan has been slow on the green car offerings,

the company plans to make up slack with its safety technology.

Nissan cars may not save gasoline, but they could save your life.
