Nissan Cars Protect Against Hay Fever

Everyone needs a Nissan in the Spring and Fall…during allergy season.

Nissan Motor Co. has teamed up with Kikkoman Corp (they make soy sauce) and Toyobo Co. (a textile firm) to develop an air conditioner filter that can eliminate pollen allergens.

The new a/c filter use fiber impregnated with natural grape seed polyphenol (how they got them to do the act, is beyond me).

The resulting product neutralizes allergens of cedar pollen and dust mites.

What I want to know is how in the world a car maker, a soy sauce maker and a textile firm came up with this idea. What, did these three guys go to college together or something?

Toyobo will supply the filters and Nissan will put them in its Cube subcompact. I don't know what Kikkoman expects out of the deal.

Next time you have an allergy attack, your doctor will tell you, "Take a drive in a Nissan Cube."

How about that?

What do you think?
