Nintendo will replace 3.2 million straps on its New Wii wand

Well, now we know how many Wiis have been sold.

Nintendo, hoping for zealous customers apparently had hoped the zeal would wear off somewhat when they started playing the games.

Unfortunately, the straps that hold on the golf clubs, tennis rackets and swords are breaking and the wand is flying not so magically in play rooms everywhere.

Nintendo will pony up several hundred thousand dollars (peanuts considering they sold 3.2 million at $300 a piece) to replace the straps.

The sooner the wand straps are replaced, the sooner Wii will have to pay for smashed glass and damaged TV sets as well.

Nintendo is kicking PS3s butt. More wands are waving than consoles are being pressed, squeezed and fingered.

By the end of the year Sony has promised 2 million more PS3s….Wii…twice that.

Which is your favorite?
