New Disney Cartoons Available on Cell-Phones First – then TV

Walt Disney Co. has decided to make its latest animated programs available for download on cell phones BEFORE having them premier on television in Japan.

NTT DoCoMo Inc. subscribers will be able to download the pilot episode of "The Replacements" via the Disney official Japanese web site this Saturday.

The movie will not show on Japanese TV until January 20th.

Disney hopes the sneak previews on cell phones wil serve as a draw to the Disney Channel.

It won't draw me. I am lucky I can see the numbers on my cell phone when they are lit up and enlarged, much less watch a movie.

And what about battery life? Can a cell phone battery last the length of a movie?

Japanese think…"Small is best."

Now they can watch movies on their itty bitty cell phones screens.
