Nearly Half Believe “Expert” Health Advice Dispensed on Boob Tube
There is a reason why it is called the Boob Tube.
Still, 47% of people in Japan trust the advice given by health experts on TV health programs.
A survey was taken, perhaps in response to the claim made by one tv program that eating natto will help a person lose weight.
39% of TV viewers say they would trust the results more if positives and negatives of health foods were discussed.
70% of viewers say they watch at least one health program a month and two-thirds say they have bought food recommended by the health program.
There's the key…the health program is selling something. That's why they are called commercials. Commercials support the health program…which makes it a commercial program…trying to sell something…get it?
My dad taught me to believe nothing I hear and only half of what I see. The boob tube…is hearing and seeing…I am in the negative of what I will believe.
Do you buy things recommended on health programs?
