Mobile Ads Heading Toward $1 Billion
The United States is/will be chasing Japan’s mobile industry for a long time.
Seed Planning’s report estimates that mobile advertising will hit $1 billion (Y100 billion) in Japan this year. Last year the figure was Y81.5B.
The types of ads:
1. banner ads,
2. affiliate ads,
3. search paid ads
4. mailing ads
Marketers are cautioned that ads that appear on a PC, though able to appear on a mobile phone, are not always as effective. Mobile phone ads…ought to be able to fix on an antenna where the mobile user is and give them local information, no?
Maybe they can already do that.
