Merry Christmas – Gibson Guitar Has Self-tuning Robotic Technology
Gibson guitar has a new electric guitar with robotics technology that allows the instrument to keep itself in tune within a matter of seconds.
The guitar recognizes pitch and uses its processor and six motors on its tuning pegs to tighten the strings accordingly.
Gibson Guitar Corp says they are the first…and last.
I mean, don't guitar players get a kick out of tuning their own guitar…showing the crowd they KNOW what sounds best.
The guitar will go for $2,780 in Japan, $2,499 in the U.S.
The self-tuning feature costs $900.
"Pull a knob on the guitar, turn it to the kind of tuning you want,
which shows up as a blue light on the knob, such as "E" or "D." You then push the button back in."
Push another button behind the seat you are sitting on and the guitar will 'play' for you, too.
Just in time for Christmas, too?
Will this be on your shopping list?
