Mayonnaise + Margarita = Mayogarita

I can't imagine this drink tasting any good. But, then what do I know. Besides I don't drink booze.

But, then I don't like mayonnaise or margaritas…or Jimmy Buffet for that matter.

The new drink in Japan – Mayogarita, served up in the "Mayonnaise Kitchen" in

a restaurant in suburban Tokyo.

Japanese will eat mayonnaise on anything…sushi, noodles, tempura, pancakes.

The mayonnaise addicts are called Mayolers.mayonnaise.japan.jpg

Last year, the average Japanese ate 1.65 kg (3.7lbs) of mayonnaise and it did NOT show up on their waist lines.

The same restaurant has a Mayoty Dog which I understand tastes like a Salty Dog.  There is mayonnaise on the rim of the glass instead of salt.

How about mayonnaise on your ice cream? Or slathered on your Kit Kat chocolate bar?

Stephen Colbert had an interesting take on the Mayoty Dog:
