Market Share – Car Navigation Systems in Japan

More and more cars in Japan have car navigation systems – 7.2% more or about 1.38 million units.

Matsushita Electric Industrial, quick to release models compatible with ground digital broadcast closed the gap with market leader Pioneer by nearly 2% to make it just .4% different.

Third place Sanyo lost market share…(Where Matsushita Electric found it?).

The companies emphasis on personal navigation devices and simplified navigation

 

 

 

systems failed despite its highly popular Gorilla portable navigation system.
