Man Killed When Car Ran Over Him Asleep in the Road
I always envied the fact that most Japanese can sleep practically anywhere…standing, sitting, at the table, holding on to a strap in the bus…
Riding on the backs of their mothers as their heads flopped about was good training.
My son can sleep absolutely anywhere. His mother used to fall asleep while eating…mid chew.
But this man would be sorry if he were still alive that he could sleep anywhere…including in the street. He wasn't on the street or at the wheel. He fell asleep in the middle of the street.
A car came by, ran over him, then sped off.
Neighbors said they had seen
the man lying on the road earlier in the evening, but, gee, and this is a mystery, nobody thought to at least pull him over to the side.
Another neighbor heard a loud thud, then saw a car speed off. When the man in the street was checked, his head had received massive injuries and was DOA at the hospital.
With neighbors like this, who needs neighbors?
