Promises of an 8% dividend and fast growth are the plugs. Japan has around 25,000 love hotels…some letting out rooms for short stays for, um, busy people…yeah, busy people doing what? Um, never mind. Japan Leisure Hotels says the industry is shielded from economic cycles and sweet
returns are promised because of high room turnover.

Their calculations – revenue per room…Y16,700/day = $150ish/day.
More rooms = more activity = more income.
Seems reasonable to me.
