Luxury French Brand Louis Vuitton will team up with traditional Wajima Lacquerware maker to make trinket boxes in Japan.

The two companies will produce hexagonal (6-sided) boxes which will have the well-known Louis Vuitton mongram floral pattern.

Just 200 boxes will go on sale for Y157,500 ($1500) each.

Proceeds will be donated to the local area which was hit by the March 2007 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

$1500 to buy a box to put junk in?

Is this appealing to you?
