Life Expectancy Rates Rise
Japanese women already outlive everyone else in the world….Hong Kong is next and Spain is third.
New census figures have calculated that Japanese women live almost one year longer than they were five years ago….85.52 years! Up from 84.6 years in 2000.
Japanese men also saw their life expectancy rise to 78.56 years up from 77.72 years…fourth longest in the world behind, Hong Kong, Iceland and Switzerland.
However, health officials are warning that Japan's new tendency, much like the world's, to go for fast food, and instant noodles instead of the traditional fish and rice will eventually take a toll on this longevity.
In the meantime, however, it is safe to say that if you want to live a long time….move to Japan.
