LG vs Hitachi vs LG – The Lawyers Win

The lawyers ought to be having a field day with these suits.

Hitachi Ltd. is suing South Korea's LG Electronics Inc.

South Korea's LG Electronics has decided to file a counter-lawsuit against Hitachi.

LG's lawsuit will be filed in Texas.

LG's complaint alleges Hitachi and Fujitsu (a flat-panel joint venture) infringed on seven LG patents.

Hitachi officials aren't responding to LG's claims.

Earlier, Hitachi said LG infringed on seven Hitachi patents…

all related to plasma display panels.

LG's VP says, "Japanese firms are filing more and more lawsuits as competition in the global display market has increased dramatically."

Hmm…

IF LG is over there and Hitachi is over there….how do they infringe on one another's patents?

Question – How many different ways are there to make a plasma display panel anyway?
