Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade in Tokyo
Gays and Lesbians were deep inside closets, back behind the old boots nobody wore, sitting alone when I was in Japan just a half dozen years ago.
Now, there is an annual lesbian and gay march in Tokyo at Tokyo's Yoyogi Park.

Just because gay and lesbians can march through Tokyo does NOT mean they are being accepted by main stream Japanese.
In fact, far from it. Or am I losing touch with what Japanese think?
I do know none of these 3,000 should depend on the High Point Church to bury them if they ever wake up dead.
I don't think a Buddhist priest in Japan will care one way or the other how the person lived their lives if they (the priests) are asked to do the ceremony.
Indeed, when their bones and ashes are pulled back out of the oven it won't matter what their lifestyle was.
It will matter, however, in the hereafter.
