Lenovo, KDDI Unveil Notebook PC That Uses Cell Phone Network

Lenovo Japan Ltd. and KDDI Corp have developed a notebook PC, for domestic use only, that can transmit data via a cell phone network.

The speed is 2.5 gigabites per second!

KDDI created the communications module with an antenna installed next to the ThinkPad's LCD panel, giving it better reception than one that is installed internally.

No card is needed either improving the convenience.

Can you hear that Verizon!!??lenovo.japan.jpg

Verizon is useless…so far…with my IBM ThinkPad…(I bought it a couple of years back).

The Lenovo/KDDI PC has a 12.1" screen making it

very easy to carry.

The price for the set up is 225,700 ($1850ish)…and if it has a Japanese OS, chances are it will NEVER freeze up.

What kind of wireless card do you use?
