Kirin Brewery will product, one with a higher alcoholic content – 7%.

A 350-milliliter can, called Kirin Strong Seven will sell for about Y140 ($1.30).

Earlier, Kirin launched a vodka-based beverage with an alcoholic content of 8%. It was a hit…or at least it seemed so to the slobbering drunks who participated in the survey.

An advantage of this third-category beer is that it is priced lower due to lower taxes.

Let’s see, more alcoholic content, better chance of getting soused, for a cheaper price. I’m not getting it.

Kirin will also introduce a beer with 4% alcohol for young people in September.

Beer sales are down. Kirin thinks the solution is to offer more options.

Can you say niche sales? Kirin can.
