KDDI and Microsoft Form Online Software Service Tie in Japan
KDDI, one of Japan's largest phone service providers has tied up with Microsoft Corp.'s Japan unit.
The two will jointly provide corporate-use online services in Japan.
The software service is known as SaaS and is based on Microsoft's Windows platform.
It is accessible via moble and fixed telecommunication lines.
It can be accessed with personal computers and mobile terminals.![]()
Japan likes the PC platform. Perhaps it is the rigidness, the predicatability, (my Japanese PC with Japanese OS NEVER EVER crashed), and the lack of
flare (think MAC).
It seems to me a good fit that a Japanese company tie up with a company like Microsoft.
What do you think?
