Jogging to Death, Literally, While Trying to Lose Weight

A 47-year old government official and section chief at Japan's Ise Municipal Government collapsed and died while jogging to lose weight.

The city government had a 'lose weight' program that apparently was mistaken for a 'lose life' program.

Not funny, I know.

A passerby found the chief sprawled out on

the side of the road at about 9am and called too late for an ambulance.jogger.japan.jpg

An acute heart disorder is the likely killer of the jogger.

There were no immediate targets that he was shooting for, thus no pushing himself beyond his limits the way he did when he sat behind the desk in his office.

Need to lose weight? Going jogging? Make sure your body can handle it.

The number one reason why people get injured doing sports – trying to do too much too soon.

Why they die – too much too soon.

Be careful out there.
