Joan Allen, Richard Gere in ‘Hachiko, A Dog’s Story’
Joan Allen and Richard Gere will star in a remake of the Japanese film 'Hachiko, A Dog's Story.'
The film is about the relationship of a college professor who befriends a dog he finds abandoned. Both see their lives changed.
The real Hachiko was left waiting at the station for its master not knowing that his master died.
Later a statue was put up in memory of the dog. It is a very identifiable meeting place.
When Japanese say, "Let's meet at Hachiko" outside of Shibuya station, they know where to go.![]()
Richard Gere starred in the remake of another Japanese film "Shall We Dance."
I wonder if he would like to play a part in Ring 3 or Grudge 10.
Have you ever seen Hachiko?
