Jehovah’s Witnesses Given Blood Infusion Guidelines
A joint panel of five medical academies has compiled a draft proposal for children, 15-years old and younger, of Jehovah Witnesses who are in need of blood infusions.
The JWs won't let blood infusions happen in Japan or anywhere else for that matter.
If their youngun's need blood, they are SOL (sorry, outta luck). They are left to die.
1998 guidelines regarding patients who kids of JWs have the Japan Society of Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy insisting that doctors infuse blood into patients who are 12 years old despite their parent's objection. ![]()
The new guidelines have the law concluding refusal to allow a blood infusion constituting abuse of parental authority, because the children do not have sufficient self-determining capability…says a professor of professor at Fukushima Medical University who heads the panel.
When religion gets in the way of law…or is it law in the way of religion here?
I respect the fact that JWs can believe what they want. Never mind, I don't.
There is something wrong with a parent who will not do anything and everything possible to save the life of their child.
On a different note…the JWs had such a bad reputation in Japan for all of their door knocking that they finally decided to have their KIDS knock on doors for them knowing that the Japanese would not be so rude as to slam the door in the face of the little guys.
Let's see…use the kids to spread their propaganda…but not do their utmost to save the little guys' lives.
Yup…something is wrong with the Jehovah Witnesses, I think.
