The Kyosho Athlete Humanoid Cup will take place on the streets of Shibuya-ku’s Omotesando District on Dec. 12.

The droids are pretty speedy – they can cover 5 meters in 20-30 seconds. The 100 meter world record holder covers 5 meters in the first one tenth of a second.manoi at01 robot.jpg

One of hthe robots that will be participating is the Manoi AT01 robot, developed by Kyosho, the organizer of the race.

Kyosho sell 10 different biped robots, all of which need to be assembled. The prices range from 100,000 to 500,000 yen = $900-4500.

I wonder if the race finish is close, will they show replays in slow motion?

What do you think?
