Japan’s Next Generation Stealth Fighter Jet

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.'s Komakiminami Factory in Toyoyamacho, Aichi Prefecture (State), central Japan, has a 14-meter (46') carbon fibre mock up of Japan's next generation stealth fighter jet.

Japan wants to develop its own stealth jet fighters for two reasons:

1. To reduce its dependence of foreign technology

2. To counter similar moves by China and

Russia. japan.stealth.model.jpg

The mock-up has undergone ground tests for its stealth effects in France.

I reckon if it flies close enough to the ground it won't be detected. If it sits on the ground, radar will think it's a rock.

One of a submarines best evasive moves against sonar is to sit still, do nothing.

The sonar reader will think nothing but that there is more sea bed below them.

Japan needs to get their stealth jet fighter off the ground to see if it is really worth anything, no?
