Business leaders were put out with PM Abe because of his abrupt resignation announcement.

"Why he chose to resign at this time is beyond my comprehension, and I cannot even begin to guess his intentions," says chairman of Daikin Industries Ltd. "I'm deeply disappointed by his irresponsible decision."

"It's irresponsible of him to jump ship in the middle of everything," says Yamato Holdings Co.

Just two days after a policy speech -

"A prime minister's policy speech is like a new business plan formed byabe.put.out.jpg a company's new leadership," according to a managing director at consulting firm BearingPoint Co.

Art Corp. President also asserts that a company president would never be allowed to walk away under similar circumstances.

But –

Japan Tobacco Inc's president – "Faced with a number of difficult issues, he probably made his decision after thinking about it in-depth."

Nah…He probably woke up thinking, man, this job is hard. What's more, nobody likes me.

In the end…it will likely be business as usual.

What do you think?
