Japan is notorious for the long hours they are at work. My experience is that what goes on at the office is NOT always work. Nevertheless, the Japanese do spend a lot of time at the workplace.

Just how much time do they spend there.

The average for all industries is 153.3 hours a month.

Mining – 166.5 hours a month.

Construction – 170.3 hours a month.

Manufacturing – 167.7 hours a month.

Utilities – 156 hours a month.

Transportation/communications – 170.7 hours a month.

Wholesale/retail/restaurant – 133.3 hours a month.

Finance/insurance – 149.7 hours a month.

Real estate – 152.8 hours a month

Service – 147.4 hours a month.

How many hours do you work each month?
