Japanese Women Losing Weight, Men Finding It

In the past dozen years, Japanese women have lost weight. Their men have found it.

Might this have something to do with a decrease in the desire to procreate in Japan?

Women in their 40's – down 1.3kg to 52.8kg even though they were taller by 2.6cm to 157.1cm.

Men in their 40's – up 4.0kg…with an increase in height of 2.8cm to 170.1cm.

Women in their 20s, 30s and 50s also grew taller and weighed less.slim.japanese.woman.jpg

Men in their 30s also gained weight.

Weight loss among women was attributed to the diet and supplement boom.

Weight gain in men was blamed on fewer fellows enjoying sports – golf, baseball while spending more time in their office at their computers.

How about you? Are you bigger or smaller than your parents?
