Japanese Supermodel, Ebihara Yuri, All Shook Up
Japanese Supermodel, Ebihara Yuri, was all shook up.
The supermodel was caught in a magnitude 6.6 earthquake that shook Hawaii earlier this month.
Ebihara is also known as Ebi-chan. Chan is an affectionate way of putting -san at the end of a surname. ![]()
Ebi also means ‘shrimp’ in Japanese. The fishy shrimp, not little bitty guy shrimp. She couldn’t be a supermodel if she were so short.
But, she can be a spokesperson for McDonald’s new shrimp burger. Ebi-chan sells ebi burgars..get it?
The poor young lady was stuck in an elevator 20 floors up when the quake hit. She had to walk down and line up with everyone else and, imagine this, wait outside a convenience store for an hour to get some water.
Shouldn’t she be happy to be alive?
Still, modeling, fashion, and such are big business…even in Japan. And the tabloids are able to milk the travails of their lovelies for all they are worth as well.
How many ways are there to make money?
What do you think?
