Japanese are sleeping less than they have in 20 years…and working hours have increase.

I guess you have to do something when you are awake, no?

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications conducted a survery on social life in Japan.

Both men and women are getting the least sleep ever since the survey began in 1986…and has been conducted every 5 years.

People aged 45-49 get the least amount of sleep….7hrs 5 min.japanese.sleeping.habits.jpg

People aged 85 get 9 hr and 47 minutes sleep on average. Largely because some of them don't wake up and it really skews the averages.

Workers worked on average 7hrs 11min each day, up 15 minutes from 5 years earlier.

Time spent on meals – 1hr 39min…up 1 minute from five years ago.

The 45- to 64-year olds, were spending less time at the table, by 1-3 minutes.

Instead, they munched at work?
