Wii 600,000 – Sony’s PS3 Far Behind
The Nintendo Company said it has sold ALL of its 600,000 Wii video consoles in North America.
Sony got a two day head start, sold out in minutes and still Wii caught up. Kind of like the turtle and the hair thing.
The total amount of sales for Nintendo – abt. $190 million.
This week the company will sell another 400,000 in Japan making around $120
million = $310,000,000.
That's a lot of money.
Sony plans to send another million in time for Santa to do his under the Christmas tree thing. But, Nintendo already has its $300 million and to be sure, Nintendo is sending more and more of its consoles as well.
The two, of course, are not competing against one another for the same market.
Or so they would have us believe.
What do you think?
