Teijin Pledges to Halve the Weight of Automobiles

Teijin group is pledging to halve the weight of car by using carbon fiber and bioplastic as parts.

The idea, to make more environmentally friendly cars.

Teijin's VP -  "We aim to halve the weight of automobiles."

The goal is to make a one ton car weigh about 500kg within the next five years.

Of course, a lighter car, means a more fuel efficient car.

The car's material will also have less of an impact on the environment.

The concept car is called the PU_PA.
