Sharp Corp has a 4 point plan to recover lost handset market share.

The company once had 26% of the market, but now wants to get back to 25%.

The company will focus on camera specs.

1. This fall-winter season Sharp will introduce phones with an 8-megapixel camera – equal in resolution to many stand-alone compact digital cameras.

2.  Sharp will refocus on camera functions instead of broadcast viewing.

3.  Sharp will use a proprietary low-power CCD (charge-coupled devices) element instead of the CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) image sensor to make them more earth friendly.

4.   The handsets will feature an image processing chip to enable the phone to capture clear images of moving objects.
