T.T.T. Co. in Japan will begin marketing a USB memory stick with safety 'lock' that will encrypt files and folders on a PC.

The Data Lock has its own software and will execute when the device is inserted into a PC's USB port.

50Mb can be encrypted in about 1 sec.

The Data Lock acts as a key to lock and unlock important data making the info inaccessible with the Data Lock 'key' which the owner loses or uses when the time comes.

If lost… a replacement can be issued for a fee.data.lock.japan.jpg

Hospitals, universities are gobbling the things up…so much so, that the company wants to make the device more readily available…for Y15,000 ($130ish).

Does this memory stick sound like something you can use?
