40% of Japanese Use Vibrators

Posted by Bill Belew on June 27th, 2010 in Japanese Products | Comments Off

I came across this useless tidbit of information at WhatJapanThinks.

39% of Japanese habitually use the vibration mode on their cell phones. (What were you thinking?)

Cross marketing surveyed 300 mobile users to learn other useless trivia.

31.7% of users set the ring volume to medium ring.

74% turn off the sound on the push butto

So, now that I know that many Japanese have their phone set to vibration (manner mode) and when it does ring, it only rings at medium strength and the Japanese don’t like to waster battery life by having the buttons make sounds when they are texting or dialing, what should I do?

What do you think?
