Japanese Housewife Hides $3 million in Forex Gains

That image of the Japanese housewife…submissive, hardworking, frugal, efficient…

Yup…at least one of those is right about a Tokyo housewife.

A 60-year old woman made 400 million yen trading in foreign exchange markets.

Problem was she didn't report the gains…pay taxes…that sort of …….

thing.

When she was found out, it was off to court.japanese.housewife.forex.jpg

The judge bought her excuse "it's unfair to pay tax on gains when she made losses in some years."

The judge fined her 34 million yen and gave her a suspended jail sentence.

The woman used her relatives' names to make her gains look smaller.

With the money, she bought kimonos and jewelry.

The woman should be given an award for being able to do what other traders spend years in school and practice to not get right, no?
