Japanese Dress Down for Global Warming

Well, I can sleep better this summer knowing that Japanese are taking off their neckties to protect the world from Global Warming.

Beginning June 1st, public buildings in Japan will be set to 28C – (82F) to cut back on air conditioning and CO2 emissions.

To compensate, Japanese will dress COOL BIZ style – dressing lightly in open-collar short sleeve shirts.

Last year, 43.2% of some 1,200 workers surveyed nationwide said they raised their office thermostats.

The campaign cut CO2 emissions by 1.14 million tons = the amount of CO2 emitted by 2.5 million Japanese households in one month.

And, the global warming monster went elsewhere to destroy the world knowing that it has caused uneasiness and anxiety in the lives of so many businessmen in Japan who no longer know how to make a business statement without their ties on.
