Japanese Body Language – 気

[きki ] spirit

This word has to be one of the most used words in the Japanese language.

Somebody more knowledgeable than I will know for sure. Still, a persons 'spirit' can be heavy, moving, changing, goofed up, long, short, leaning toward, light, and so on on.

All of these and more can be found in daily conversation.

If you can master the Japanese spirit AND how to use the word for spirit, you can go along way.

The Japanese greeting – ogenki desu ka – loosely translated can mean are you in your original spirit?

Well, are you?
