Japanese Actor Takes ‘Break a Leg’ Literally

One of Japan's most popular male actors, Hidekazu Ichinose, was wished to 'break a leg' before filming an NHK drama at a studio in Yokohama…so, he did…break his leg.

The samurai playing actor jumped from a 1.8 meter (6') fence during a filming…then, didn't get up.

It is expected to take about a month to heal…unless he were a real Samurai. He would have rubbed it well.

The blame goes on a the mat used to catch the actor being too thin (the mat). Future leaps of action will be on to more cushiony (is that a word?) mats.

Meanwhile…the local folks are getting the best of the samurai.
