Japan's most popular business online source, the Nikkei Net, is reporting Prime Minister Tony Blair's resignation as one of its top stories.

June 27th is the day Tony Blair will eend his 10 years on the job as the British boss and leader of the Labour Party.

Just 44-years old when he started, Blair said, "I have been prime minister of this country for just over 10 years. In this job, in the world today, I think that is long enough for me, but more especially for the country."

Blair oversaw the restoration of peace in Northern Ireland. He also continues to back the US in Iraq. He says about the 'bitterly controversial' involvement in the war, he "may have been wrong but that the decision to go to war must betony.blair.jpg followed through, adding, 'I remain an optimist…give the impossible a go. The terrorists will never give up if we give up.'"

Next month, it will likely be Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown's turn to lead or 'get out of the way'.

What do you think of Tony Blair?
