Japan Plans to Regulate the Interent

Tokyo has plans to regulate content on the Internet by 2010.

Current laws on:

1. information,

2. telecommunications

3. broadcasting

will be affected.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will submit a bill in 2010 that will unify the Telecommunications Business Law and the Broadcast Law among others.

Tokyo wants to regulate which contents appear on the NET, thus taking aim at theinternet.regulation.japan.jpg NET's influence on society.
