Japan Continues to Climb Out of its Decade Long Recession
I heard something interesting not long ago…it is China and India mostly, that has helped pull Japan out of its recession…not anything that Japan in particular had done.
The world's economy is so good right now that Japan had to come out of its funk. It was nothing the country did, nothing about economic policies and all that.
No matter…Japan's economy is chugging along.
For the 16th straight quarter Japanese business spending rose – last month it went up 13.6% to a record high, but slightly more slowly than Oct-Dec growth of 16.5%.
A survey of 19,000 major companies also showed that aggregate company gains were up for the 19th straight quarter with a 7.4% increase in corporate profits.
For the ninth straight quarter the world's second largest economy grew…this time at a 2.4% annual clip.
Is it because the whole global economy is good or because of something Japan did?
What do you think?
