Japan and China plan to pool resources to set up an Asian-wide anticancer network.

The two countries will establish a medical information network.

South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Mongolia are also being invited to participate.

A symposium will be held in Nanjing, China to kick off the collaboration.

The hope is to lead to development of cancer drugs.

The feeling - Asians have different physical strength, size and other racial factor

s and would thus respond differently to cancer drugs developed in the West.

Asians have more stomach, lung and liver cancer than their western counterparts.

Drink more, smoke more?

Half of the world's 7 million cancer fatalities happen in Asia….and China is growing.
