Japan and China Agree on Historical Study

Japan and China’s Foreign Ministers have agreed to do a joint study of their disputed wartime history and issue the results within two years.

This study alone could do wonders to smooth out the relations between these two economic giants.

China often accuses Japan of whitewashing the past….and Japan usually responds with a better car or DVD player.

Should the study be done objectively, by both sides, and the results bechina japan.jpg agreed up and published and read by both sides, it could do the trick at getting both countries to get on with life.

The two foreign ministers are meeting in the back rooms at the APEC summit.

I, for one, if I am still alive and kicking two years from now, would like to read the report and see how it affects the ensuing relations between Japan and China.

What do you think?
