It Rained Money – Really!

As people walked below a bridge over the Sumida River in Tokyo, they noticed that it had started to rain…money…10,000 yen notes (about $80).

About 30-40 10,000 bills came floating down. Nobody knows the exact count as some residents didn't bother to report their haul before taking off.

Four 10,000 yen notes, one 5,000 yen note and one 1,000 yen note were recovered.

The woman who alerted the police said she saw a few people walk off with some of the rain….and then she dropped a few bills herself.sumida.bridge.jpg

Police are speculating that the money came flying from a vehicle that was traveling above.

Police also said that the people who walked off with the cash could face charges of

misappropriation….

Yeah! Good luck catching them.

If the sky started raining $100 bills, would you turn it in to the police?

To the police that have about a 16% success rate of finding the bad guys, much less the good guys?
