Invisible Tracking becomes reality - Radio Frequency Identification Chips the size of a speck of powder created

Submitted by Bill Belew on Saturday, 24 February 2007No Comment

Hitachi Ltd has created the world's smallest RFID chip….about 0.05 millimeters by 0.05 millimeters in size.

They look like bits of powder and are thin enough to be embedded in a piece of paper.

Data can be stored on the tags but only retrieved by special reading devices that beam energy to the chips which in turn send information back to the readers.

The uses for the powder RFID chips have not been determined.

However, you might want to be sure the dandruff on your suit is really dandruff and not Big Brother.

Invisible tracking…sounds like fun…or not.

What do you think are possible uses for invisible tracking?
