Idemitsu + Zarubezhneft + Vietnam = What?

Idemitsu Kosan Co is a commercial producer of crude oil. It's pronounced EE dea(d) me (ca)tsu.

The Japanese oil producer will team up with Russia's Zarubezhneft to drill for oil offshore in an area southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam's PetroVietnam also has an interest in the development.

The goal is for Japan to find resources to develop in Asia instead of European oil and gas fields in the North Sea.

Idemitsu will sell the oil in Asia. idemitsu.jpg

Japan + Russia + Vietnam = delivering oil to Asia.

Isn't it cool when countries work together?

Or at least until Russia changes its mind.
